On the agenda are the Southwestern Ontario Golf Tournament, online and in-class Education courses, the Annual General Meeting including the election of the 2008/09 Board of Directors, CAAMP's first ever Fraud Summit, the 5th Annual Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame and the final event of the year, CAAMP 08 – the industry's national Conference & Expo. I encourage you to take advantage of these networking and business development opportunities. The end of summer also brings with it a new office location for CAAMP. Comments? caamp@chair.org Communications Update e-Magazine & e-Directory CAAMP is pleased to announce the launch of the Mortgage Journal and the annual Membership Directory in electronic format. The first edition of the e-Magazine will coincide with the Conference themed October issue and will be available at caamp.org after the release of the hard copy publication. The e-Directory will be launched in January 2009 and will allow members to update their information throughout the year ensuring timely and accurate listings. AMP Poster The 2008 AMP Posters are ready! AMP members will soon be receiving notification on how to obtain their poster. This year, two versions of the poster have been created, one for brokers and one for non-brokers. In addition, two size options are available:

CEO of the 2010 Olympic Organizing Committee will be presiding over
the opening ceremonies. Furlong's message is sure to inspire conference
goers as they embark on three days of motivation, inspiration and education. Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame Nominations for the Mortgage Hall of Fame are now closed. The recipients of this prestigious award will be announced in September. The official induction ceremony will take place at the Gala Awards Dinner during the National Conference on Sunday, November 30 which features entertainment by Canadian crooner Matt Dusk.

Government Relations The federal government recently announced changes to the rules for government guaranteed mortgages aimed at protecting and strengthening the Canadian housing market. CAAMP met with federal Department of Finance officials to discuss the announcement and submitted a follow-up submission with recommendations and questions. L'été tire à sa fin, et c'est un autre automne très intense qui nous attend ! Le programme est chargé : tournoi de golf du sud-ouest de l'Ontario, cours de formation en ligne et en classe, assemblée générale annuelle, élection du conseil d'administration 2008-2009, le premier sommet sur la fraude de l'ACCHA, le cinquième gala annuel du Temple de la renommée hypothécaire et, pour couronner l'année, le congrès et salon national ACCHA 08. Je vous encourage à profiter de ces occasions de réseautage et de développement des affaires. La fin de l'été amène aussi le déménagement de l'ACCHA. Des commentaires ? caamp@chair.org Communications Cyber-magazine et cyber-répertoire L'ACCHA a le plaisir d'annoncer le lancement des éditions électroniques du Journal hypothécaire et du Répertoire annuel des membres. La première parution du cyber-magazine coïncidera avec le numéro d'octobre, sur le thème du congrès, et elle sera disponible à caamp.org après la parution de la copie papier. Le cyber-répertoire sera lancé en janvier 2009. Il permettra aux membres de faire la mise à jour de leurs coordonnées tout au long de l'année afin que les inscriptions soient toujours récentes et fidèles. Affiche CHA Les affiches CHA 2008 sont prêtes ! Les membres CHA recevront bientôt un avis leur indiquant comment obtenir leur affiche. Cette année, il y a deux versions disponible, une pour les courtiers et l'autre pour ceux que ne sont pas courtier. En plus, elle est proposée en deux formats :

Rapport annuel Le rapport annuel 2007-2008 de l'ACCHA sera envoyé par la poste à tous les membres avec les documents de l'assemblée générale annuelle, en septembre. Temple de la renommée hypothécaire canadienne La période des mises en nomination au Temple de la renommée hypothécaire est maintenant close. Les lauréats de ce prestigieux prix seront annoncés en septembre. La cérémonie d'intronisation officielle aura lieu au gala, durant le congrès national, le dimanche 30 septembre. La soirée sera agrémentée d'une prestation du crooner canadien Matt Dusk.
TPS L'ACCHA a récemment envoyé un avis à tous les membres corporatifs pour leur rappeler l'obligation d'appliquer la TPS aux frais d'adhésion. Le nouveau formulaire d'adhésion indiquant la TPS est sur le site web caamp.org. Pour télécharger le formulaire maintenant – cliquez ici. Relations gouvernementales Le gouvernement fédéral a récemment annoncé des changements aux règles concernant les prêts hypothécaires garantis par l'État. Ces changements visent à protéger et à renforcer le marché canadien de l'habitation. L'ACCHA a rencontré les hauts fonctionnaires du ministère des Finances pour discuter de l'annonce d'une garantie pour les assureurs hypothécaires, et elle a ensuite envoyé un mémoire contenant des recommandations et des questions. new Ontario Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act which
became law on July 1, 2008 requires mortgage agent license applicants
to first complete formal training. CAAMP's Ontario Mortgage Agent Course
is a cost effective and time efficient way to complete this training.
The
fall line-up for the Ethics and Responsibilities for Mortgage Professionals
course is now available. This AMP pre-accreditation course is being
offered in seminar format across the country this fall and remember,
you can always sign up for the online version at your convenience. For
